Springtime Color Inspiration

color combo: sage and dusty rose with skin tones

As the seasons change, so do the colors and images that I am inspired by. The progression of it is pretty evident in my pinterest feed as wintery neutrals are gradually replaced by springtime hues. As a long-time color-phobe, this time of year has always proven to be very refreshing and when I tend to embrace color the most, both in my wardrobe and my designs. Right now I am especially drawn to a combination of sage and dusty rose with skin tones. I’ve been experimenting with them a lot lately and plan on incorporating them into my upcoming product release.

Spring Happenings in the Evermore Studio

Happy first day of spring! I noticed some green starting to pop out of the ground yesterday and I did a little happy dance. I am looking forward to when everything is in full bloom and plan to reintroduce these pretty cards into my rotation to celebrate the occasion. Meanwhile, I've been working on lots of flowery things, which will be making their way onto new products debuting next month. I can't wait to reveal it all and encourage you to sign up for my newsletter so you can be the first to know when they hit the shop.

Weekend Recap // City Explorations

01 Friday afternoon visit to Gather Home + Lifestyle to drop off some goods and pick up some as well.

02 The trees are in full bloom (at last!) outside my apartment.

03 Just a part of my haul from Gather Home + Lifestyle, Humboldt House and Asrai Garden

04 A failed attempt to Asado Coffee Roasters. Turns out they're closed on Sundays, but it was still fun trying to locate it on Pickwick Lane.

Friday evening cocktails + dinner at Presidio...my new favorite place in Bucktown.

Checking out locally-made goods and visiting friends at Dose Market at the Chicago Cultural Center.

Springtime Vibes

Spring Moodboard // Evermore Paper Co.

I'm so happy to finally open the windows in my apartment and go on walks without piling on the layers first. It feels like spring has arrived at last and I can't help but notice the positive impact it's had on my daily routine. Morning runs and evening bike rides or strolls have reintroduced themselves and it looks like they're here to stay. Hallelujah!

With the change in season, I always like to create a new mood board of the images that are inspiring me the most. This is my latest rendition. It's feeling much lighter and airy compared to this board I created a few months ago.

Spring Preview

Spring Preview // Evermore Paper Co.

Without giving too much away, I wanted to share a little preview from my spring/summer collection. I continue to be inspired by textiles and textures and worked tirelessly to translate them into my papercut designs. I am thrilled with how it's coming along and am getting close to working out the final kinks. I'll be honest when I say it's been a labor of love. There's been plenty of ups and downs while trying to decide which direction to take next. I ended up spending a lot of time experimenting with new techniques, only to return to the papercut process in the end. At times, I felt like this time was wasted, but now I realize it was necessary in order to grow and reaffirm my love for papercut stationery. I hope you like what you see and I can't wait to show you all that I have in store!

Easter DIY Ideas

Easter DIY Ideas

I've been trying to come up with a cute Easter DIY and in my attempts I realized that I tend to decorate more for the seasons than I do for specific holidays. For instance, I like to fill the apartment with cedar branches and pinecones in the Winter and in the Spring I shift to fresh flowers and pretty potted plants. In the end, my Easter DIY attempts proved to be fruitless as most of my ideas were cheesy and not something I'd actually display in my home. So I rounded up a few ideas here that I would like to give a try in the future or modify for other holidays or occasions. I especially love the place setting ideas and how they can double as party favors.
