One of my top priorities for 2014 is to build a more distinctive look for the Evermore brand (which I previously talked a little about here). I knew that this would involve updating my product photography (a huge undertaking in my opinion), but I thought it would be awhile before I actually got around to doing it. But then as I started moving in one direction with the photography for new items, I realized it was time to get everything else up to speed. So for the past 2 weeks I've been styling, shooting, rejecting, restyling and reshooting photos to the point of exhaustion. (Sadly, I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to things like this.) The good news is that I finally managed to achieve the look I was going for. The changes are pretty subtle compared to the originals and consist of brighter, styled images shot from various camera angles and on different backgrounds. As a whole, I think the new photos look much more interesting compared to the earlier photos where the cards were just floating in space.
And since even I sometimes have a hard time telling the difference between the two, I provided some before and afters for you to get the full effect. What do you think?
