A Fresh Start

2019 Intentions | Evermore Paper Co.

I love how the new year provides an opportunity for a pulse check. A chance to look at the relationships we have with our self, others and our environment to determine what’s working and what’s not. I never like to think of the new year as a magic button that instantly transforms us into the person we want to be, but rather as an opportunity to refocus our energies and reevaluate our needs.

I’ve been doing just that with Evermore during these first few weeks of 2019 and must say I’ve got a pretty long to do list for the year ahead. I’m challenging myself in new ways and working to create a plan that I can commit too, because let’s be honest, it’s easy to skip deadlines when you’re the boss.

Each year I like to create a list of intentions to help keep me focused and remind me of what’s most important. They provide the foundation for everything I do and as I start to put some of my plans into action for the year, I thought it was appropriate to share this year’s list, which I also keep tacked to my inspo board.

As for those big plans? Here’s a quick list of what you can expect to see in 2019:

  1. More product releases (I’m shooting for 4 this year!)

  2. A tiny brand and website refresh

  3. And last, but certainly not least, more blog posts and freebies!!!

I can already tell it’s going to be a good year and am so excited to share it with you!

Plans, Schemes & Dreams 01

Oh Monday, you're such a pain! Especially after a long holiday weekend filled with beautiful weather. To ease back into the week, I like to schedule a quick planning meeting (with myself) to write some goals, checklists, etc. for the week ahead and to make sure I'm on pace with some of the more long-term goals I've set. It's the perfect way to shift my focus from the weekend and I thought it would be fun to share some of the plans, schemes, and dreams that pop up during these "meetings".

Right now, I am....

Planning new designs (and maybe even a few new products) and their corresponding release dates.

Scheming ways to make more connections in Chicago (and elsewhere).

Dreaming about potentially spending a week in California this summer.
