Upcoming Markets in Brooklyn + Chicago

Upcoming markets | Evermore Paper Co.

It's been quite busy in these parts as I prep for back-to-back craft fairs. First up is Renegade Brooklyn, followed by Renegade Chicago. I depart tomorrow for NYC and am looking forward to my first show on the east coast. It's always a fun experience getting to travel with my goods and meet new customers and other sellers. I also hope to squeeze in as many delicious meals and scenic walks as possible. Then I return home for Renegade Chicago, which takes place on Division Street in Wicker Park. This was my favorite market last year and I expect it to be nothing short of amazing this year. If you plan on attending, please make sure to come say hi!

For more details and a roster of all the sellers that will be participating at each fair, please check out the Renegade Craft Fair website.

Weekend Recap // City Explorations

01 Friday afternoon visit to Gather Home + Lifestyle to drop off some goods and pick up some as well.

02 The trees are in full bloom (at last!) outside my apartment.

03 Just a part of my haul from Gather Home + Lifestyle, Humboldt House and Asrai Garden

04 A failed attempt to Asado Coffee Roasters. Turns out they're closed on Sundays, but it was still fun trying to locate it on Pickwick Lane.

Friday evening cocktails + dinner at Presidio...my new favorite place in Bucktown.

Checking out locally-made goods and visiting friends at Dose Market at the Chicago Cultural Center.

Multiple Divvy bike rides...my preferred mode of transportation.

Renegade Craft Fair Chicago

This summer has gone by way too fast. I can hardly believe that September is right around the corner and with that comes my last market of the summer season. I certainly hope to end the season with a bang and am excited to be selling in my neighborhood. Plus, there are going to be over 300 indie makers and artisans. And to add to all the excitement, I will also be selling at the Renegade Pop-Up shop at the Madewell store on Rush. So make sure to mark your calendars and come say hi!

April Style File

Slowly but surely, it's starting to warm up in Chicago. However, the weather tends to be quite volatile this time of year, making layers a necessity and the transition to warm days a long one. So while I may be dreaming of sandals right now, the wardrobe above is a much more accurate depiction of what I'll be wearing this month. In an effort to freshen things up, I've slowly started incorporating lighter colors into my closet and I have found myself drawn to earthy grays and greens, along with some fresh Spring-y scents. As for my home, I tend to buy a lot of plants this year and like incorporating natural elements into my decor.

Spring Dreaming

It's officially March and I have got a bad case of Spring fever. Sadly, it will probably be a few more weeks (maybe even months) before Chicago thaws out entirely. Meanwhile, I've started looking for ways to brighten things up around my home and in my work. Here are just a few things that I'm currently inspired by right now, namely subtle blues and greens, calligraphy, and watercolors. Stay tuned for my new collection of items coming on March 20th.
